Privacy Policy

GCC Index™ is committed to protecting any information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

📅 Effective date: 1 April 2026

1 Who We Are

GCC Index™ is an AI-powered intelligence platform tracking Global Capability Centre activity across Indian cities. The platform is operated by its founder and is currently in a pre-launch phase. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to the GCC Index™ platform and its operator.

This policy applies to all users who access the GCC Index™ dashboard, API, or any associated pages.

2 What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform and respond to access requests.

  • API access requests: When you submit a request for API access, we collect your name, email address, company name, and a brief description of your intended use. This information is used solely to evaluate and respond to your request.
  • Enquiry form submissions: If you contact us via the enquiry form on the About Us page, we collect your name, email, company, and message content.
  • Session data: We use session cookies and CSRF tokens to maintain authenticated sessions. These are technical necessities and are not used for tracking or analytics.
  • Usage logs: Standard web server logs may record IP addresses, browser type, and pages accessed. These are used for security and operational monitoring only, and are not linked to personal identities.
  • Analytics data: We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data — including pages visited, session duration, device type, and approximate geographic region. This data is aggregated and is not linked to your identity. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) in your browser to distinguish returning visits.
ℹ️
What we do not collect: We do not collect financial information, payment card data, government identification, or any sensitive personal information. All GCC event data on the platform is sourced from publicly available news — we do not collect personal data about individuals named in news articles.

3 How We Use Your Data

Information collected is used for the following purposes only:

  • To evaluate and respond to API access requests
  • To respond to enquiries submitted through the platform
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the platform
  • To diagnose technical issues and monitor service availability
  • To understand how the platform is used and which pages are most visited, so we can improve the product

We do not use your data for advertising, behavioural profiling, or any purpose not listed above. We do not send unsolicited marketing communications.

4 Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data with any third party.

Your data may be processed by third-party infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting and database services) that are used to operate the platform. These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are contractually bound to handle data securely and only as instructed.

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) for anonymised usage analytics. Google may process data on servers outside India. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

We may disclose data if required to do so by applicable law or a valid legal order from a competent authority.

5 Data Retention

API access request data is retained for as long as the request is active or for a period of 24 months from submission, whichever is longer — to allow us to manage access and handle follow-up queries.

Enquiry form data is retained for up to 12 months from receipt.

Server access logs are retained for up to 90 days for operational purposes.

6 Cookies

GCC Index™ uses only technically necessary cookies:

  • Session cookie: Maintains your authenticated session while using the dashboard. Expires when you close your browser or log out.
  • CSRF token: Protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery attacks. A standard security mechanism.

We use Google Analytics 4, which sets the following cookies:

  • _ga: Distinguishes unique users. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_* : Maintains session state for GA4. Expires after 2 years.

These cookies collect anonymised, aggregated data only. No personal identity is stored in or linked to these cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or any other third-party tracking scripts.

7 Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to any legal retention obligations
  • Withdraw consent for any processing that is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

8 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect data stored on the platform — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authentication-gated access, and access controls limiting who can view submitted information.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as the platform moves toward public launch. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the dashboard. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
