This page explains what personal data GCC Index™ collects, how it is used, and how to request its removal.

Who we are

GCC Index™ is a market intelligence platform tracking Global Capability Centre activity across India, operated from India. This policy applies to everyone who visits the site or uses the platform. For privacy queries, contact us via the About page.

What we collect

  • Information you submit. When you send an enquiry or request access, we receive your name, email address, and any other details you provide — company, phone number, and your message. These are used to respond to you.
  • Your email address, if you sign up. Used to send the weekly digest and account-related messages. Every email includes a working unsubscribe link.
  • Cookies required to operate the site. One maintains your signed-in session, another protects forms against misuse. Neither is used for tracking — details below.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics 4 records which pages are visited, approximate region, and device type. The data is aggregated and does not identify you.
  • Server logs. IP address, browser, and pages requested, retained for security and diagnostics.
What we do not collect: payment card details, government identification, or sensitive personal information. GCC event data on the platform concerns companies, not individuals — we do not build profiles of people named in it.

How we use it

Personal data is used to respond to your enquiries, deliver what you have signed up for, maintain platform security, and understand which pages merit improvement. It is not used for any other purpose.

We do not sell or rent personal data, run advertising, carry out behavioural profiling, or send unsolicited communications.

Data is processed by the services that operate the platform — hosting, database, email delivery, and Google Analytics — acting on our behalf. Google may process analytics data on servers outside India (Google's privacy policy). We would disclose data where required by a valid legal order.

Cookies

GCC Index™ uses the following cookies. None are used for advertising.

  • SESSION — maintains your signed-in session. Set only after you log in, and cleared when you log out or close your browser.
  • XSRF-TOKEN — a security token preventing other sites from submitting our forms on your behalf. Set on any page containing a form, including before you sign in.
  • gcc-rm — set only if you select "remember me" at login, keeping you signed in for up to 30 days. Removed when you log out.
  • _ga and _ga_* — Google Analytics. These distinguish visits and expire after two years. Blocking them does not affect site functionality.

Your rights

Contact us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Deletion covers our own records and the email service we send from. To stop receiving the digest without deleting your data, use the unsubscribe link in any email.

Submitted information is retained only for as long as it serves the purpose it was provided for. Server logs are rotated automatically.
