Terms of Use

By accessing GCC Index™, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they set out what the platform provides, how it may be used, and what it does not guarantee.

1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the GCC Index™ platform — including the dashboard, API, and any associated pages — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

These terms apply to all users, including those accessing the platform under a licensed API arrangement.

2 What the Platform Provides

GCC Index™ is an intelligence platform that aggregates, processes, and presents information about Global Capability Centre activity in India. All data is sourced from publicly available news and is processed through an AI pipeline.

3 Data Accuracy & Limitations

GCC Index™ makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of data on the platform. However, because all content is derived from public news sources and processed by automated AI systems, we cannot guarantee that every event, figure, or classification is correct or complete.

  • Event data reflects what was publicly announced — not what may have been subsequently revised, cancelled, or not yet disclosed
  • AI-extracted fields (company name, city, jobs count, sector, intent) are subject to the limitations of automated extraction
  • City impact scores and leaderboard rankings are derived from a proprietary model — they are relative indicators, not absolute measures
  • Coverage gaps may exist if relevant announcements were not published in monitored sources

Users should cross-reference critical decisions against primary sources and their own due diligence.

4 Intellectual Property

GCC Index™ and its logo are proprietary marks of the platform operator. The scoring methodology, index construction, AI pipeline design, and all platform software are proprietary and protected.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, or create derivative products from the GCC Index™ dataset, rankings, or intelligence outputs without express written permission.

Permitted use: You may reference GCC Index™ data in reports, presentations, and publications, provided you clearly attribute the source as "GCC Index™ (gccindex.in)" and do not imply endorsement.

5 API Access & Fair Use

API access is granted on a per-user basis following a review of your submitted use case. By using the API, you agree to the following:

  • No bulk extraction: You may not use the API to systematically extract or mirror the full dataset for redistribution or resale
  • No commercial redistribution: API data may not be packaged and sold as a standalone data product without a separate commercial licence
  • Rate limits: API usage is subject to rate limits as communicated at the time of access grant. Excessive usage that impacts platform performance may result in access suspension
  • Use case compliance: You may only use the API for the purpose described in your access request. Material changes in use require a new request

6 Prohibited Uses

The following uses of the platform are strictly prohibited:

  • Attempting to circumvent authentication, rate limits, or any other platform security controls
  • Scraping, crawling, or automated extraction of content outside of sanctioned API access
  • Using the platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer the scoring model, AI pipeline, or any proprietary methodology
  • Impersonating another user or submitting false information in an API access request

Violations may result in immediate termination of access without notice and, where applicable, legal action.

7 Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The platform will be available at all times or free from errors or interruptions
  • All data displayed is accurate, complete, or current
  • The platform will meet any specific business or professional requirements

8 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GCC Index™ and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the platform, including but not limited to:

  • Business decisions made on the basis of platform data
  • Inaccuracies or omissions in AI-extracted event information
  • Interruptions to platform availability
  • Unauthorised access to your session by third parties

9 Modifications to the Platform & Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the platform at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

10 Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
